Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Training
Each municipality has a Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) that hears appeals from municipal subdivision and development authorities. SDAB decisions shape the community and affect the lives of developers, neighbours, citizens and businesses. It is important that the public have confidence in the quality of these decisions and the decision-making process.
A subdivision and development appeal board training manual was prepared and used to deliver a series of workshops. Revisions were made to reflect comments from participants and a further series of workshops were delivered in 2007-2009. There will be no training sessions offered in 2010.
The training manual was provided to each municipality in Alberta on CD ROM in 2007.
